As your degree tutor, I’m excited to be working with you this year - To begin your learning journey through higher education & to be back at Birmingham Newman; watching a room full of potential, develop into another wonderful batch of tomorrow’s Criminology pioneers. Academic life, is all about finding potential, developing perception & pursuing your goals in a direction that will best serve your ambitions. Which is a fancy way of saying ‘getting you to where you’d like to be in life’.

The first step is getting started. So if you have any questions or worries about that first step - Please simply email either Criminology lecturer Tiffany Cater at T.Cater@staff.ac.uk or myself, Julie.McCarthy@staff.newman.ac.uk.
Nothing is worth getting frown lines for. So don't fret about things - Email us.

Induction week is full of help & guidance but beyond that, I’m here to help you with this module or to signpost you to support, if I don’t have the answers you may need. So much excitement & so many academic adventures lie ahead of you from today - It’s my absolute pleasure to be the one who’s leading you through them this year & helping you meet those milestones and find your first steps, in a subject that I love. Can't wait to meet you all next week now - Jules
